When you do something good for someone else, it makes you feel good yourself. This is especially true if you just met the person for whom you did that good thing. It doesn’t have to be anything big. Just something nice and/or beneficial for another person. The word “philanthropy” describes the act of doing good things for others, and the highest order of philanthropy is when the person receiving the benefit doesn’t even know who helped them out.
February 19 is designated “Random Acts of Kindness Day,” On this day, let’s all try to be philanthropists. Even better, let’s try to do this all year long!
